Fretting over what's in and what's out, or which dress will suit you best? For every bother, there's an answer, as fashion designer Masaba comes forward with some handy tips. Q. I am a school teacher and my job requires me to wear a sari to school everyday. Besides, I love wearing saris. But since I’m short, each time I wear the cotton ones, I’m told I look shorter.
Please suggest as to what kind of saris would help me look better and not stunted?
- Anu, 28, Lucknow A. Hi Anu! Well saris will make you look shorter in any case irrespective of whether they are in cotton or silk. Although if you are experimental, and if you opt for shorter saris, ones that come only till the ankle and are not full length, you may look slightly taller.
Also try wearing flimsy saris like chiffon or a light silk, something that clings to your body and not something that has a stiff fabric, as they will make you look broad and short.
